Karen Kitayama + Sixto Cordero
forma studio is a public art and design practice based in California. It was founded by partners Karen Kitayama and Sixto Cordero, who began their collaboration while completing their graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Our practice is multidisciplinary, and our studio manages every aspect of a project from its design through the fabrication process. By doing so we ensure our work is optimized and ready for installation on schedule and on budget. With backgrounds in public art, architecture, and exhibition design we provide a unique combination of perspectives that allows us to work efficiently and in direct collaboration with all our fabrication and installation partners.
